De naam zegt het al: dit is het ‘neusje van de zalm’. Louter unieke aroma’s afkomstig van single origines. Zoals de bekende Kopi Luwak koffie, waarvan coffeeRoots de grootste afnemer ter wereld is.
"Esmeralda Special is a rare award-winning coffee that three times in history has set records for being the most expensive coffee ever to be sold at auction. We are not really sure yet whether this cup is the result of the micro-climate in the small valley, the rather unusual variety of coffee planted there (Geisha), or a combination of both. We will be looking into this in the coming harvest. It is also a very low yielding area – again due to both the cool climate and very long internode variety. The taste is best compared with Ethiopia coffees. It's a very fruity coffee with lots of lemon taste. This type of coffee taste is very unusual in this part of the coffee world and therefor so popular."
